I have recently received some flak for my lack of posts. Well excuse me but I have had a guest and even though I'm in Turkey, the holidays have been busy. Christmas Day Mike my friend from Seattle arrived. We had originally planned for him to be at our feast but his plane was delayed so we ate without him.
Ozgur and I went to the airport and picked him up. Mike was surprisingly with it for traveling for almost 24 hours. Kim made a snowman to be festive.
The feast gave me a chance to test out my new camera. 
Conclusion: It works.The next few days I spent with Mike, maneuvering around Istanbul, having coffee and showing him the sites. We met up with Rana's brother Derya and went to a rock bar and did some dancing at a bar called the Jolly Joker which actually brews it's own beer.
The next day Mike and I did some sight seeing! Well we walked around in the pouring rain but he got to see the expedited version of Istanbul and we had good time.
After a subdued new years party we welcomed the year with a lazy day of driving around Istanbul. It was wonderful. We visited Boagzci University.
The last few days of Mikes visit were spent taking it easy and eating a lot. And then as quickly as he had come he was gone. Seeing a face from Seattle really reminded me of how much I miss it there. Ok all love and kisses. Hope you are well.
